RGNT electric moped handcrafted in SwedenThe RGNT Classic is a vintage style electric moped by electric motorcycle startup RGNT from Sweden. The company was founded in 2019 by Jonathan Åström and Lina Kanstrup. The moped is handcrafted in Kungsbacka, Sweden.

Inspired by the new and improved, quieter metropolis of Beijing in 2018, serial entrepreneur Jonathan Åstrom explored a desire to silence city streets in the west. As a long-time motorcycle rider, he dreamt of a two-wheeler that would ignite the same freedom of traditional bikes, but with the innovation of today’s most progressive cars. After shocking the market with a beautiful prototype, our founder and CEO launched RGNT in 2020 with the ambition for urban commuters to swap cars for electric motorcycles.

The moped has a powerful 11,000 watt electric motor for a top speed of 125 km/h. The motor is integrated in the rear wheel (hub motor) and provides fast acceleration.

The moped has a removable 7.7 kWh Lithium battery that provides a driving range of 160 km.

The moped has a cloud connected 7″ touch screen TRT display with 4G and GPS connectivity and over-the-air (OTA) software updates. The dashboard provides a diverse range of motorcycle applications including GPS navigation.

The moped has an integrated charger that enables to connect the moped to a regular wall outlet for charging. The battery can also be removed (swapped) for easy charging outside of the moped.

The moped has a state of the art J.Juan CBS Brake System (Combined Brake System) and front and rear disc brakes (300mm/220mm).

The moped is handmade in Sweden and can be customized on demand.

The moped is available in any color and with custom artwork/business print.

The moped can be ordered online and is shipped worldwide.

Electric Scooter: clean air / healthy city air

Disc Brakes: air pollution

Air Pollution by Disc Brakes causes 20% of the total emissions by a standard car and the pollution (ultra-fine dust) is more toxic for humans than exhaust fumes.

"Vehicle tailpipe emissions are going down, but the emissions from disc brakes will remain to some extent, even if you drive an electric car," Weber said. "Therefore, this kind of process will continue to play out in the future and will be an important consideration when we look at the health effects of particulate matter." (Phys.org)
